Trump named top-earning president of all time
Believe it or not, Donald Trump has been named the most commercially successful US president in history. According to the New York Times (NYT), Trump and his family earned more money during his presidency than any of his predecessors. It is quite the achievement for the man in the Oval Office!
The Trumps have reportedly monetized the presidency more aggressively than any past administration. While such behavior once triggered controversy and official investigations, the climate has shifted. The family and its business partners have earned $320 million in commissions from a new cryptocurrency and signed real estate deals abroad worth billions. Meanwhile, Melania Trump is set to receive $28 million from Jeff Bezos for a biographical film. The family also plans to launch an exclusive Washington-based club called Executive Branch, with a $500,000 membership fee.
Adding to the headlines, Qatari officials recently offered Trump a luxury Boeing 747-8 jet valued at $400 million. In Virginia, the president hosted a private dinner at a club for 220 investors in the $TRUMP cryptocurrency, each having spent around $1.7 million to participate.
These staggering earnings have drawn scrutiny from the Democratic Party. Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett stated that Congress has a lot to investigate to determine whether there are not only legal violations but also potential breaches of the Constitution.
